Why are you reading a thread that upsets you so much you want it closed? Kate Middleton and the BRF are one of the biggest stories on the internet right now. Telling what? Other monarchs are also discussed in this forum generally. When Elizabeth or Charles do political things, then that is discussed in the Political Forum but mostly the British Royal Family is a symbol of culture rather than politics. Culture is not usually the same thing as gossip or conspiracy theories, fwiw. Which is why some topics on this forum are heavily edited or banned.

The shopper did not tip off the Sun. Kensington Palace provided the entire story to the sun and other tabloids, including most likely the quote from the "fellow shopper."

This is fairly typical of the BRF and just the kind of item you'd see them planting in the media in order to reassure the public that a royal is healthy or a marriage is doing well. I honestly don't know how often it's fully fabricated versus fully truthful versus totally truthful. In the ordinary run of things I wouldn't give it any thought at all because I generally don't spend much time thinking about the royals' health or marital status.

This is not the ordinary run of things. I won't engage in the fringe conspiracy theories -- I do not believe Catherine is dead or in a coma (what possible reason could the family have for concealing that, it makes no sense) and I also doubt they are on the brink of divorce because the vast majority of rumor-mongering around that sound like a soap opera plot someone cooked up during a wine-fueled girls' night. But I remain baffled by the fake photo from last weekend, the weird messaging around Catherine's surgery and recovery, and some of Williams' odd public behavior. I take everything in a tabloid with a massive grain of salt, including this reported "sighting."

As far as I'm concerned, this is proof of nothing -- I don't think it's evidence that Catherine was out and about with her family on Sunday, but I also don't think it's evidence of further cover up. Nothing with really be resolved until Catherine is seen in public looking well, and it's possible we will never know why Kensington Palace behaved like it was covering up some massive crisis from December 2023-March 2024. I'm not British so I'll be able to live with that, but if I were British I think it would make me highly skeptical moving forward because these people are such a weird anti-democratic anachronism. But maybe the weddings and the parades are fun enough to make it worth it, I don't know.

It’s not the medical condition people want to know about. They just want to see her outside, proof of life, and know that she’s ok.

Normally, this would be a non issue but given the weirdness of the 3 photographs we’ve gotten so far (in sunglasses with her mom, head turned away with William, Mothers Day) and this weekend she was supposedly “spotted” at 2 different places (kids soccer , and farmers markets) it just seems like the Palace has something to hide

I really hope it’s not a vanity thing rather than a severe health thing but I think it might just be with Kate . The press called her podgy for years and that type of mockery and body shaming (people think Dcurbanmom is mean? The rags were horrible to her) is maybe what she fears again .
