School closing camps near Vienna

I’m planning for tomorrow. DH is away and I don’t have a flexible job. Have you used any one day camps during school closings? The Rec centers are not an option. I’ll take it off if we can’t find anything but it would be nice to find back up and they may enjoy going somewhere with other kids.

Is your child’s school currently without power? School will generally be open unless the building itself is without power.

I think all FCPS will be closed

Fcps will be open. I don't see how they would close. Even if there is no power you can still teach. I work at Stuart high school and we have had a few days with no power the last few years.

This is OP. I’m planning ahead so it’s not a morning scramble, that’s all. I think the school has power but a lot of roads are closed.

I think a lot of the karate places have 1 day camps. I think the big ones in the area are Enshin and Mt. Kim. Maybe start there.

If schools close, it won't necesarrily be because the school does not have power, but the danger to walkers with downed power lines, debris on the sidewalks and roads.

My children have gone to snow day camp at Enshin. It's reasonably priced ($60/day), you just show up in the morning and fill out the form. It's a simple process. Send them an email and ask them to put you on their email list. This way, you will receive notification whenever they have camp.
