Just wondering why my thread was deleted

I posted about seeing the pro-gun tshirt this morning and having a visceral reaction to it. I'm guessing it just attracted too many political type posts, but I was in a meeting so I didn't see if it went off the rails after my second post on it.

The thread probably should have been posted in the Political Forum, but it was borderline so I understand your choice of Off-Topic. However, it immediately attracted responses that were purely political and, in some cases, inappropriate. I started to remove the objectionable posts and realized that there really wouldn't be much left and then just more of the same would get posted. I decided to save myself a headache.

Yea, sorry. I understand. I was just venting from an emotional reaction. I really wasn't looking for a gun debate, which is why I didn't put it in the political forum. I was just having a "too soon" moment.
