Looking to get away for a week to a quiet place. We would like to stay right on the beach. What websites do you use to book rentals(other than AirBnB) and what quaint little towns would you recommend?

Look on VRBO / Homeaway as those sites have a larger selection of beach houses than AirBNB.

Use local rental management companies.

It OBX Twiddy. Joe Lamb, Atlantic, Brinkley Beach are popular among others.

+1. We found one for the summer of n VRBO. The Airbnb options were limited, within our price range anyway.
