Where do you live?

We like Homestead Farms in Poolesville, MD. It is only about 35-40 minutes from my house in Arlington.

Butler's Orchard in MD. We went last year for Halloween and I seem to recall that it took about 40 minutes from NW DC.

Second Butler's. They do a great Halloween festival with hayrides, pumkin picking etc.

OP here. I live in alexandria city & was looking for a place within an hours drive so both of those suggestions would work. Thanks!

We like Stribling Orchard in Markham, VA, off Route 66. It might be over an hours drive for you.

Butlers has a great festival but only have 3 varieties of apples to pick...So you have you get there on the right time ( week) for that specific apple variety to be ready for picking. Cost to get in

Homestead has a million apples but the festival is not as good but beautiful landscape ( no charge for entrance.)

Stribling is great. Beware the raspberry patch however, the berries are delish but the bees not so nice. No bees in the apple orchard.

I'm sooo looking forward to our planned outing to Cox Farms in VA in early October! All kinds of activities for little ones...
