ICE was supposed to a.) prioritize going after violent criminals and gang members, not harmless, productive, contributing farmers, construction workers, maids, cooks and so on b.) follow protocols and procedures, NOT wear masks, refuse to identify themselves, show up without warrants, kidnap people off the street and throw them into unmarked vans, c.) follow due process of law, meaning court process as guaranteed by the Constitution d.) do their own jobs rather than expecting state and local law enforcement to do it for them, given state and local LEOs have no jurisdiction in immigration law and then get into a massive shit slinging festival of lies and accusations attacking mayors and governors because they aren't misappropriating state and local resources to do ICE's jobs for them the way MAGA demands. e.) et cetera et cetera et cetera ICE is undeniably a complete shit show right now and no poll is going to fix or excuse that. |
Putting those Israeli tactics to work. |
How about we get to the real point.....ICE needs to act like law abiding law enforcement agents and make sure they are doing things by the books-this includes identifying themselves properly and ensuring that those who have been arrested are treated like humans and have due process. But MAGA doesn't want this they are cheering on brutality and the unknown identity of these "agents". Don't call yourself American if you do not believe in treating humans like humans and having due process when people are arrested. Noem and Bond and the rest of them can go right to he## with this un-American nonsense. MAGA loves some dictator behavior....but wait till it comes for their family. |
Why are they here and in the middle of the street |
|
So, why did Trump call the Nathalie guard during the January 6 riots!
He is abusing his powers and has an ax to grind with Gavin Newsome. So petty. |
Trump stated he would do this during the 2024 campaign. He got elected. Where do you see most Americans disagree with him? The people waving Mexican flags are in America why? |
I guess you missed the list of violent illegal alien criminals they arrested in LA over the past few days. Why are democrats so willing to allow these people to stay in our streets? |
“Why are democrats so willing to allow these people to stay in our streets?” That’s what Americans are going to want the next democratic presidential candidate to explain. |
NP. Here’s a link to that poll. Your statement is correct but you have conveniently left out a lot of nuance and points where there are split views on the plan. Below is the nuance you left out, quoted directly from the poll interpretation. The comments in square brackets are mine. * On balance, more people see the program making the U.S. safer, compared to less safe. That's related to the fact that more believe the administration is prioritizing the deportation of people who they believe are dangerous criminals. [Expect to see a shift in that thinking as the mass deportation effort starts to include even more undocumented migrants who are otherwise law-abiding.] * Independents aren't as supportive of the deportation program as they were a couple of months ago, leaving the GOP base as the only partisan group with majority backing of the program now. But it is an overwhelming one among Republicans. * On that topic of process, big percentages of Americans continue to say it is not acceptable if legal residents are mistakenly deported as part of the program. MAGA Republicans are more divided on this question, but a majority say it wouldn't be acceptable. [Again, perceptions may shift when even more stories emerge of US citizens being deported.] * Then, there's also the potential economic impact. Unlike the net-positive views about safety, more Americans think the deportation program will weaken than strengthen the economy. * A larger share of Americans say immigrants generally fill jobs Americans won't do. That in turn is related to the view that the deportation program will weaken the U.S. economy. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/deportation-immigration-opinion-poll/ |
Many of them were held for months, years, without due process. They served their time |
Aww do you hear my tiny violin playing for you and the rest of the insurrectionists. MAGA-the party of violence and hate disguised as patriotism |
a.) prioritize going after violent criminals and gang members, not harmless, productive, contributing farmers, construction workers, maids, cooks and so on The democrats support illegal immigration because it provides them construction workers, maids, cooks, nannies, a virtual smorgasbord of cheap labor and virtual slaves. Illegal immigrants are then supported by the American taxpayer. |

The City of Glendale ended its relationship with DHS and ICE.
https://www.newsweek.com/glendale-california-terminates-contract-ice-los-angeles-protest-latest-2082717?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Threads#Echobox=1749467894 "Nevertheless, despite the transparency and safeguards the City has upheld, the City recognizes that public perception of the ICE contract—no matter how limited or carefully managed, no matter the good—has become divisive," the city said in a press release. "And while opinions on this issue may vary—the decision to terminate this contract is not politically driven. It is rooted in what this City stands for — public safety, local accountability, and trust." |
