Comparative Genomic Hybridisation (CGH)?

Anonymous
Has anyone tried comparative genomic hybridisation (CGH), a new procedure to genetically test embryos before IVF transfer? This is supposed to be much more effective than preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD). While with PGD, there is the risk of damaging the embryso, CGH does not require that a cell be taken out of the embryos for the testing, and is therefore much less invasive). Also, CGH tests all 23 chromosomes in an embryo, while PGD only tests about 10 (sometimes they do 12, I think, as well).

My husband and I would like to try this new procedure since my issue is egg quality (I have had three miscarriages, likely because of genetically poor egg quality). I would love to hear your experiences if you have tried it.

Also, does anyone know of a lab in the DC area that offers this? Shady Grove has been gearing up to offer it for some time, but every time I call their lab, I am told it is still in the works, and not yet available.

Many thanks for your thoughts!

So interesting! We've had 3 CPs so I'd be curious to know when Shady Grove is offering this as well.
