| My boss is really great in a lot of ways and wants to see all those he manages make their career goals come true. I work very closely with him and at my last review he really pushed me on what I envision career wise in the future. But the truth is, I really don't want to move up and anything. I like the work I do, even though I've been doing it for a few years. I don't mind the monotony. I welcome it! I have three kids and I like going to work, doing my shit, and then going home and spending time with my family. And it's not that I don't like my career or my job- I am content with both. I just don't have any career goals. I don't dream of moving up. So in my team of very ambitious go getters, how do I say that? And it be ok? |

It's probably HR requirement. In my company we have to go trough review process every 6 month, creating goals, dreams, short-term, long-terms, blah-blah-blah BS.
Just play along, find something you're interested in exploring within your role without moving up. |
