Top kid was at Basis McLean. Second was at Longfellow. 5 of top 10 were from Longfellow, 4 from Basis and 1 from Cooper. The team advancing to states is made up of kids from Basis and Longfellow and maybe another, I’m not sure.

Wait, just realized that was the results of the Northern VA chapter. I don’t know results from other chapters and all were held the same day, I believe.

Basis McLean again?! Whatever happen to Longfellow?

You’ll see Longfellow did very well and had more depth than the basis kids and I think equal representation on the state team.

As for the team prize, Basis won 1st, Longfellow got 3rd, Cooper won 2nd place. This is the first year Cooper has AAP kids, and they are all 7th graders.

All kids in the top 25%, more kids in top 10

Yes, I’m sure cooper will continue to do well now that they are keeping their AAP students.

Wow!! Happy to hear that Cooper is doing well, but I am still very impressed with Basis.
