We're finally ready to move from our tiny house to our forever home. We're thrilled. The ONLY anxiety producing part is our ancient dog. He's maybe a little senile? And already starting to get a little incontinent.
Any tips on how to make this less stressful for him?? |
| For our dog the hardest parts were watching us pack and moved my day. At least for moving day would be good to find another place for the dog. Having some of their favorite things setup right away should help, too, for ours she loves sitting on a chair looking out the window so we made sure that was setup right away. |
Agree. I think the packing is the most stressful. I took ours in the car over with me first thing on moving day and set up all their "stuff" in one room so they were around familiar things (bed, etc). |
| Could he stay with a known person on moving day? Our dog shivered the entire time we were packing up to move. I read somewhere a sad story that a couple left the dog behind in the empty house while they did a run over to their new house and the poor dog must have thought they abandoned him. |
