Is this because she wears too much makeup? She spent too much time in the sun? White women just don't age well? |
| She wears heavy makeup to make herself look older. She also looks tired -- I'm sure it's a stressful job. |
| OP, look again. She doesn't have lines -- I'm white and had noticeable crows feet at 29. She does look a bit like she's playing dress up in her mother's clothes. She's trying really hard. |
| I actually think she's quite attractive. My DH, on the other hand, says he finds her "man-ish looking." |
| No, she doesn’t. She looks 29. |
| Op, just stop. She does not look 40. Women, why do we do this to each other? |
| Well since 40 is the new 30 I guess that’s about right. |
| With her hair lightened she kind of looks like a young Melania. Creepy. |
|
Its the old fashioned tacky pageant style makeup that ages her.
She needs a Jane magazine make-under. |
I think she looks younger than that. I think she looks like a mid-20s girl who is trying to look older, with dress and makeup, in order to be taken seriously in her job. (The SMU hair kind of works against her, if this is actually her goal.) I remember when I was a first year associate at a Biglaw firm, I was worried about looking too young. In hindsight, it was a silly concern. |
| I think she looks her age. |
| Is looking 40 that bad? I think she just wears too much makeup - other than that, she's attractive. |
I think her makeup is extremely harsh. |
| For an era that's so focused on looking past how people look, it seems like a lot of people are still focused on how people look. |
It's the Beauty and Fashion forum. Here, posters focus on how people look. |
