Getting an interview at Amazon

Anonymous
What is the best way to get in front of a recruiter at Amazon? I have applied via LinkedIn, but is there a more direct route? Should I connect with a recruiting firm? I am a Program Director, great track record leading multi-year, multi-million dollar projects of significant strategic value, but I am looking for a change. I'd like the chance to see if Amazon is a good fit for me but don't know the best way to get my resume in front of the right people.

Phone a friend. That’s how I got an interview. Didn’t get the job tho.

+1, the best way is a referral. Otherwise, a really good resume. Getting an interview is easy, getting through the interview process is not. I think my spouse had several phone and several in person locally and then they flew him out to Seattle.

They definitely used LinkedIn. I have gotten several calls from recruiters there based off my LinkedIn profile. I have never interviewed because I have heard bad things (and I already have a terrible work environment).

The description of what you do is so generic, it's kind of laughable.

I get recruiters from Amazon contacting me over LinkedIn also, but I get the impression that happens more for technical roles than for project management positions like OP is looking for. I may be wrong.
