| Wisdom. |

He sounds like a cocky old man. I appreciated the celebrity tea he spilled but this is my favorite line because it's also how I feel:
"The racism in the North is disguised. You never know where you stand. That’s why what’s happening now is good, because people are saying they are racists who didn’t used to say it. Now we know." |
| I’m surprised about Michael Jackson. I thought he was meek and mild. Infantile almost. |
| Amazing. Every line was well worth the read. Thank you for posting! |
| Marlon Brando?!!! My mother would turn over in her grave. |
|
I've read that MJ had a very carefully cultivated "meek" public persona. Like that high-pitched demur voice he used in interviews and such...totally affected.
|
| The GQ article referenced in this interview is even wackier. Q has led a fascinating life. I'm on my phone and too lazy to find the link but the Vulture article has it. |
|
I came here to post this and see someone beat me to it. Such an outstanding read.
There’s also one in GQ which I’m about to settle into. Enjoy! https://www.gq.com/story/quincy-jones-has-a-story |
| Interesting.... but wow, humility, there is none. |
Exactly what does Quincy Jones at age 85 need to show humility about? He's a giant and a legend. |
| He confirms the theory that after a certain age, people tend to drop the filter and say what they really think. If even half of what he said is true, wow! |
| Can’t talk about this, can’t talk about that. So don’t grant an interview. And wow, does he come off as klassy. He must be desperate. |
He doesn't NEED to do shit. But humility is always attractive. Arrogance never is, but we accept it with many people. -NP |
| So arrogant. But he's right about Bruno, Chance, Kendrick and Sheeran. |
