I'm in the process of looking into preschools, and am wondering if anyone living in the area of Fairfax Station/Burke/Springfield has suggestions of great pre-schools. Montessori or not, please let me know if you know of, or are currently in, a great preschool. THANKS!

Take a look at Kiddie Country ... they have amazing facility on Old Keene Mill, down close to the FS Parkway. The Springfield Methodist Church across from Giant Plaza up close to i-95 access ramps is also said to be very good and is NAEYC accredited, which is rare for church preschools. Many people like Prince of Peace near Rolling Road -- it is a Lutheran facility so includes going to chapel, etc. For a secular option, take a good look at the Lee Rec Center Preschool -- fabulous facilities and teachers, but a bit of a drive from the area you are looking.

We are at Kiddie Country on Old Keene Mill and LOVE it, my son has absolutely thrived in the environment.
