We have an ubbi pail and it works great. Until we take the trash bag out. This is not an issue with our diaper genie. When those diapers come out they can hang out without making the garage smell awful. Regular trash bags though (or at least force flex bags that are supposed to smell like fresh air) smell heinous.
What do you use in your ubbi? |
| Scented febreeze bags |
| Why are your full trash bags hanging around inside your house? |
| same as I use in my kitchen.. the scented febreeze bags, I think I have the lavender scent right now |
| We use the ones you can buy directly from them (or should I say that are made for the pail. We got them on amazon). They are expensive but we don’t go through that many a week. Pee only goes into the pail - poop goes out immediately. |
| We use Glad stretch bags. Never a problem. |
| We just use the Target brand scented bags. If the poop is solid it goes in the toilet but messy poos go in the ubbi. We take the bag out to the outside trash can every few days and let the ubbi air out for a while outside. |

We have once a week trash pick ups, no exceptions and there isn't a dump nearby (not in dc). The biggest problem is that we're in a duplex and don't have a trash bin so we can't take bags outside so until trash day they have to sit in a like... mud room type area... like an entrance. Not in the apartment but in the house. It's only an issue for like 48 hours a week but those 48 hours can be problematic.
The scented febreeze bags are what we're using and those are NOT doing the trick. I'm tempted to try the ubbi brand bags though thanks pp. |
