private K in Vienna, VA area who will accept a Dec birthday (son won't be 5 until Dec)

Hi..I'm so surprised to find that the private kindergartens in our area seem to adhere to the Sept 30th cut-off (must be 5 by)...any recommendations on where to look? Thanks!

Very surprised if there is any school that will take a 4 1/2 year old for K. Even the District moved up its December 31 cut-off to September two years ago.

I would try a Montessori school.

Appletree has a nice 4 yr old program with academic slant.

Perhaps you should focus on those schools with "Junior K" type programs. I believe St Stephens & St Agenes has one, as does the Langley School. I'm sure there are others.
