National League of Junior Cotillions -Fairfax

Any experiences with this group, good or bad, are appreciated. I did not grow up in an area where cotillion was a "thing" so would appreciate honest feedback. In addition to what they learn, is it fun for the kids? Or boring?
Thanks.

How old is your child, OP?

It would be for 6th graders.
Thx.

Some like it, some don't. If your kid isn't asking about it, I won't bother.

None of my kids was interested, but some of their friends liked it. It's very pricey.

The "I didn't grow up with cotillions" feeling -- you know this is not a socially significant cotillion, right? It's manners-for-hire, so all you need is money, not social cachet.

It's a manners and etiquette and maybe dance class. DIY.

I wasn't suggesting that I did. Geez.

I would say there was more dancing than manners and etiquette in the 6th grade class my child went to. They practice asking each other to dance, and everyone has to say yes. Not particularly useful now in my opinion. It seems to get better as the years go on - going out to dinners, etc. but my child didn't want to continue.
