Anyone have ideas on places to go where it will be relatively easy to make good food choices? Preferably, I'd like someplace where we can eat, but also walk around and window shop.
Rock Creek on Elm Street in Bethesda is a restaurant designed with healthy eating in mind. I've never been but have read great reviews. There's also one in Friendship Heights.
I've been to Rock Creek a ton--it's great. I don't remember their exact schpeil, but I think it's that you can eat a full three-course dinner for under 600 calories (or maybe that's per entree?). Whatever, the food is really good.
I'm keeping an eye on what I eat, and Raku is my go-to restaurant. Salad and sushi is a winning combination for me.
Remember on WW you have an extra 35 points so you could use those and enjoy your dinner. Sushi is a great low point alternative!! Good Luck!
believe it or not, I did ok at Guapos, but that meant self-restraint on the chips and no margaritas for me. Stay away from italian and asian restaurants that don't have steamed options (which can be bland), try to find an online menu and look up what you can order beforehand.

Applebee's has some healthy options with the actual Weight Watchers points amounts listed.
