| Curious thinking about switching jobs |
| Corporate Strategy. Exec level. Little over $650K with bonus but most of it is tied up in long term incentive comp. |
| First year partner at a large law firm. 315k base. Bonus probably in the $30k range. |
| These posts are pointless. What do you do now OP? Knowing that is the only way to get marginally useful responses. |
That is really low, even for a first year non-equity partner in big law. |
I’m always curious about these corp jobs. I’ve always worked at small companies so no idea how you advance to this position. Did you start out in the mailroom/sales out of college? Get an MBA? |
| Engineer. $130k. Comfortable in the VA exurbs. |
| Does there need to be a thread like this every week? |
Bump? |
my firm is ranked (by vault) in the 50-60 range. we pay market to first years, but do not pay lockstep to associates. i am technically an equity partner, but only 10% of my pay is equity. (in other words, my firm got rid of the nonequity tier, but essentially keep treating new partners as nonequity and make them contribute a capital contribution). i jumped here from a "boutique" firm as a senior associate a couple years ago. until i made the move, i assumed all biglaw firms paid lockstep and that a partner at any biglaw firm would be in the mid-300s at the very least. either way, it's plenty of money so i'm good with it. |
$160K as a federal government attorney. My husband makes about the same, a little more. When I go home to the Midwest people think this is a lot but in this area, ha not exactly I feel pretty average for our neighborhood (outer MoCo suburbs).
