What do you do with athletic/running shoes that you no longer wear (VA preferably)

What do you do with your old tennis shoes. They aren't destroyed. I just moved on b/c they aren't supportive enough for me after a year or so. I have four pairs of running shoes in my closet and I'd like to get rid of two pairs.

Running stores like Pacers will take and recycle them.

Dante them. If you've ever been into a goodwill or unique, you'd see that the stuff they have is in much worse shape than what I'd ever wear.

They become my lawn mowing / yard work shoes.

I always keep one pair for yard work/mucking around, and throw them out after our annual tubing trip. The rest I donate to our local running shop, which sends them to people in a less fortunate community/country.

Salvation Army and Goodwill will take them.
