Are you buying "girls scouts cookies" from your coworkers?

Coworker is send 3 emails as a reminder that she is selling girls scoots cookies for her daughter................ One of the coworkers brought 10 boxes of cookies.... Sadly he looks like he eats healthy.

I think employers should ban the parents selling their children's cookies, wrapping paper, whatever at work. It is disruptive, and people only buy out of obligation.

Yes, my parents' employers both banned employees from selling their kids' cookies & other items. It was kind of annoying that a kid whose dad sold her cookies at work for her always won the prize for selling the most, though!

I am sorry if that was me. You purchased last year and when I saw you last week you said you were interested again. You mentioned how much you loved and supported girl scouts and that your daughter had received her Gold Award. We talked about what she did to achieve it - it was pretty impressive.

I knew you were really busy this week. Sorry if it felt like I was sending too many emails.

Just a note - I do not send emails to anyone who did not express interest. I do not have the form out or anything like that. I only sell to people who I socialize with outside of the office.

+1

Other kids were robbed, and this kid basically cheated.

Nooooo. In my office, there are 3 Girl Scout parents selling cookies and it is weirdly/sadly political who you buy from. A lot of people buy from all 3 just to circumvent the drama. It is truly ridiculous. I refuse and wait for the troop to show up outside the grocery store and buy from them there....

Personally, I only but cookies from girls who are actually there selling them themselves (door to door, in front of stores, etc). So I am not buying them from colleagues who bring the sales sheets to work, from friends advertising their kids' cookies on FB, etc.

My daughter went door to door - I went with her. Sadly of the 15 homes we went to of friends on our block - at times when it looked like someone was home - 3 families answered the door and purchased cookies.

Can she set up shop in front of a store?

I don't order them because I just don't think they taste good, otherwise I would be happy to. It doesn't bother me if coworkers ask.

Love the Girl Scouts but the cookies just give our family too much gas.

Hadn't it always been that way? Girls have always gone to way more houses than they actually sld cookies at. That's why you have to sell on more than one street!

If you want to avoid buying them, you can always say you’ve already committed to buying them from a neighbor. Thosr girls who sit outside of Safeway in the cold selling cookies are my neighbors.
