Do you have favorite sauces from Trader Joe's that don't contain high fructose corn syrup, low in sodium, etc. to mix with a protein, whole grain, and some veggies for quick meals?
Thanks. |
Love the gyoza dipping sauce |
Favorite marinara or bbq sauce? |
I like their marinara sauces. |
Not sure about the sodium but I love the masala and Thai green curry simmer sauces. |
I went yesterday and bought the yellow curry, Kentucky Bourbon BBQ sauce, and some marinara sauce. |
A jar of of one of their Indian simmering sauces with a can of chickpeas is OK. |
How long can that keep in the refrigerator? |
The Cilantro salad dressing is really good.
If you buy the red TJ quinoa, there is a recipe on the back using corn (use TJ roasted frozen corn - so good), black beans, tomatoes and quinoa. You put the dressing on at the end. I used to make the dressing from scratch but the bottled one is just as good. |
Thai green curry sauce is amazing! |
I don't think TJ sauces necessarily have HFCS (I don't recall seeing it at any rate) but many of them are really high in sugar. I am a careful label reader and I put a lot of TJ sauces and dressings back on the shelf because of high sugar and pro-inflammatory/poor-quality vegetable oils (soy, canola, safflower, etc.). |
