FCPS Navigant resume

Anonymous
My sophomore is told to build his resume in Navigant. He already has a resume but not in Navigant. Why is it needed in navigant? For teachers? What is the benefit of spending an hour to put everything in word into Navigant?

I guess my question is, do the colleges have access to Navigant? Thank you for helping a confused mom. I am hands off and therefore I feel intimidated to hear all these things that my busy kid need to be done.

1. It's Naviance.
2. It's probably a guidance counselor activity related to college and career preparation. There are probably no real consequences if he doesn't do it.
3. Teachers and colleges can't see it. When he asks for recommendations for colleges in senior year, he may be asked to provide teachers with a copy of it.
4. How does a 15 year old have such a long resume that it would take an hour to re-type it?
