How many days in the hospital?

| [b]I will be having a c-section at Fairfax hospital and wanted to know how many days to exppect to stay? What's the normal stay? 4? |

| My insurance said they will cover 3-4 days. I remember many DCUM posters saying they were ready to go by day 3. My pediatrician seemed to think I would be there 3 days. |

Yeah, don't know about that hospital. My insurance covers 4. I was ready to go by day 3, and at my hospital, they were cool with discharging me on day 3 as long as both baby and I were OK (which we were).

OP here, I just checked and my inusrance covers 4 days as well so I think I should expect to stay 4 days. Thanks!

| 4 days and I loved it, did not want to go home. However, I gave birth at Loudoun that is more like a birthing hotel. My milk came in at the hospital and I had constant help from the nurses, many who were traning to be Lactation cousultants, and actually met with the lactation consultant 2xs. I would have been at a loss if I had to figure this out all by myself at home. |
