Preschool Bethesda/Chevy Chase area

Hi, I did a search on preschool and Bethesda/Chevy Chase and didn't come up with much. My husband went to Concord Hill, so that's about all we know about it, however, we can't afford it. Does anyone have any recommendations?

The religious schools tend to be less costly than the Montessoris. There are the "Circle Schools" at Chevy Chase Circle - they are within the churches. Don't know the names offhand.

If you're Jewish, both Beth El in Bethesda and Ohr Kodesh in Chevy Chase have very good preschools.

We just love Cabin John/Brookmont Children's Center in Bethesda. Morning. afternoon, or full-day pre-K options available for 3 & 4 year olds. Located in the Brookmont neighborhood of Bethesda. It has a "co-op feel" (lots of parental involvement) without all of the responsibilities and duties of a co-op. Class size is aprox 15 with three teachers.

I don't know about Beth El, but you don't need to be Jewish for Ohr Kodesh in Chevy Chase. There's lots about Judaism in the classroom, and you (we!) have to deal with closures for Jewish holidays, as well as early closures on Friday afternoons/evenings for Shabbat. (That's inconvenient whether you're Jewish or not!) But some teachers are Jewish, some are not; many children are Jewish, some are not; and everyone is welcome.
