The incessant whining has been awful - yes the judging was crap and probably done specifically so she wouldn't make the team, but thank god.

That said, I'm sure flyover country is THRILLED about 2 POC on the 3-person team.

I like to see emotion from people who dedicate their lives to train for something that comes down to just a few minutes. They should be emotional.

Sure, train your whole life for something and when asked how you feel about not making the team you aren’t allowed to be pissed? Conversely, the guy who tossed his second place medal into the stands is being called strong and heroic.

No gender bias here.
