Ghosts of a Pet - Staying with Us?

| Our dear little dog passed away last year but it seems like he is still in the house. We have been awakened at night by his bark and by day heard his nails clicking on the hard wood floors. Earlier this week I found a dog bone on the floor and wonder where it came from. We have no other pets. Has anyone else felt like their pet is still around the house? |

| My cat, formerly my mother's cat, joined my household in 2014 and passed in November 2017. She was very quiet, never made noise, had her predictable routine. Since she passed, I have missed her terribly, but she was sick, and I know it was her time. Last week I heard noises in another room and without thinking about it, you know how your brain does sometimes, I said "It's Marbles. Oh wait... no, it's not, she passed." It happened again the other day, everyone was accounted for, and the sound was just like her (heavy) feet clunking on the floor... |

I personally find these stories quite comforting vs. creepy.
I would absolutely love it if my pets decided to “hang around” a bit longer.

| Hasn’t happened to me but i am friends with a medium. She says the deceased stay around us for a few years after passing. |

| Years ago after I had to put my cat to sleep. I would feel him walk on my bed and then crawl up on the pillow like he used always do. It freaked me out a little bit but it comforted me more I had not thought about that until I read this thread. It was a long time ago and it really was an odd sensation to feel the movement as if he was walking up to the pillow |

| We understand physics and biology sufficiently well to know that if pets or people do in fact stay around in some way after death, then all of the science that our current way of life is based on is wrong. Sorry, but your pet is dead. Period. |
