New Car recommendations???

I am 33 with two kids. My husband and I are looking for a new car/SUV. Any safe cars you would recommend that does not include a minivan?

We're looking at the new CRV (2018) which is a larger model than in years past. All the safety features, nice trunk room and overall a good city car.

I just bought a new Escape and like it. It's roomy, the seats have a nice, flat fold, and the back seat fits 3 adults or 2 car seats and 1 adult easily.

I recommend the Subaru Outback as well.

We have an 2015 Highlander Hybrid, current model year is basically the same. Good truck.

If we didn't need the space for kids, kids' friends and gear, we seriously looked at a Kia Nero (also a hybrid)

Just bought a Toyota RAV4 the other week and I’m in love with it.

I have a Kia Niro and love it. It's a great car and I get 550 miles to a tank of gas. It's awesome not having to get gas all the time.

I love my Mazda cx-5 and it's fine for 1 kid but might be too small for 2 depending on your needs.

What I have learned on DCUM is that as a blonde, I need to drive a black SUV. Luckily, I do. Please check your hair and purchase accordingly.

Have you ever test driven a minivan? Are you having more kids?

We just bought our second, and our kids are older. But we love it. (And definitely can afford an expensive SUV, which we also looked at).

Exact same here. I got a new 2017 (XLE Hybrid) to save some $$ but the 2018s were lovely too. It's so fun to drive!
