Someone I know has had a couple of miscarriages at about age 36. She is now pregnant (not through IVF), and her progesterone tested at 18 one day and 15 a few days later.
In the past, she has been given oral progesterone. Is there any advantage in getting progesterone shots or suppositories at this stage? |
| my doc like progesterone suppositories. I'm on them now, and they suck. |
| I have been in the IVF game a long time. My clinic has always used suppositories but I just went for a FET for my third pregnancy and they have switched over to PIO shots because of some new studies saying that shots are more effective. I had two successful pregnancies with suppositories, but so far the shots have been working this time. However, both 18 and 15 are good numbers, so if her progesterone is at that level on oral medication, she is probably fine. |
