Suggestions for solo getaway, luxury hotel with spa and nature view

Anonymous
DH has suggested I leave him and DS for the weekend, and I'm looking to have an experience similar to one I had this fall at the Cliff House in Maine: luxury hotel with spa, room looks out to beautiful nature view. I sat on the balcony and read and stared at the ocean and it was a perfect break. I would prefer to drive (maybe max 3 hours) but am okay with a short flight, too. DH did some research and suggested Salamander, but it doesn't have that zen-out-in-nature feel to it. Thanks!

I'd go to Turks and Caicos and spaz out. Get a great room and spa treatments, overlooking that beautiful ocean.

I dont consider the omni Bedford luxury? Quant, idyllic, lovely, yes. Luxury, no.

Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville has an amazing spa and beautiful views, but that may be too far of a flight for you.

I enjoyed the Salamander for a two night escape from work/toddler, but it wasn't really picturesque. The spa was great, and the location was easy-peasy from here, though.
