Am i the only one that doesn’t like fruit dipped in chocolate?

I love fruit, and I love chocolate. But, to me these are two great tastes that do NOT go great together! Happily announced that this is what she is bringing for dessert to my small dinner party this evening, and I am bummed! A couple of days ago she said she would bring something chocolatey, so I was happy and expecting cake or mousse or something like that. Am I alone in my aversion to chocolate-dipped fruit?

Agree. Bananas and chocolate go together but that's about it for me, because bananas are mild and not acidic, maybe.

Hate chocolate covered strawberries, especially with gross winter strawberries. Chocolate covered pineapple like in a lot of Edible Arrangements is bizarre. It just doesn't work.

It does not appeal to me. I am not sure I have ever even tried it. I see it at events, but just don’t even try it.

Not everything has to be a thread, OP.

I hate raspberries in chocolate which is a popular combo. But strawberries taste good to me dipped in chocolate.

Who is the "she" you refer to in your OP, OP? Is her name "Happily"? Confusing.

Raspberry and chocolate is the worst combo. So gross. Chocolate covered pineapple I like though.

Agree also. Give me fruit or chocolate, but not combined.

Agree. And I hate fruit filling in cake. So many wedding cakes are disgusting because of this.

I was at work before Christmas and someone brought me what looked to be a truffle. Yum! IT WAS A FRIGGIN HUNK of pineapple with some chocolate coating that came off as a piece when I took a bite because pineapple is too wet for it to adhere to. the worst!

I'm not a fan either but I love Raisinets. That is the exception.
