Wealth and Tax Planner recommendations in NYC

DH and I have about $1m liquid assets and $2m total net worth with real estate. HHI is around 400k+. Does anyone have referrals for a wealth and tax planner in the New York city area?

How old are you and how long have you had that HHI? I'm just trying to gauge your HHI vs your net worth vs your potential future growth. That makes a difference about who will take you as a client.

If you've had a $400K/similar HHI for 15 years and only amassed $2M in net worth, it's a different planner than if you're 2 docs out of school in the last 5 years and close to your loans being paid off, where your net worth can likely skyrocket in the next decade.

Might want to ask on urbanbaby or bogleheads. I wouldn’t list your stats on UB though, they might roast you.

Honestly you'd probably be better off just reading bogleheads if you have the time. Are you looking for investments, or insurance advice? Not really worth the effort/fees to try and tax plan, esp. with the estate tax exemption going up.
