| I have to admit I have been stocking a few peoples Instagram and fscebook. Recently one of the people made their page private. Is there a way for them to see who views their page? |
| No, not unless you like the individual posts. |
| When you view someone’s “story” on Instagram, they can see who you are. |
But aren't those targeted in the first place? |
| You will start appearing in their suggested contacts. |
|
Yes. They get a little alert as to what you looked at, for how long, and all the other things you searched for on your computer.
OK, maybe not but they do track and store all that. |
| If you watch their instagram story they will see that you've viewed it. Stop stalking people. |
Yes, this is the case with FB. However, I believe a one-time viewing will not put you on the suggested contacts, you might have to view their page a number of times. |

*you’re
And it’s stalking, not stocking. |
Is that how the "people you may know" show up that I never wanted to talk to again?? They scrolled thru my FB page? That makes sense now. I always wondered why/how FB would suggest certain people. |
Not if you don't have a facebook or instagram account. |
Well the suggested friends can also be friends of friends who have never looked at your profile. |
COMPLETLY false, there is no connection to anything by simply looking at someone's profile or photos on FB. This rumor has been around ever since FB started. |
I'm sorry, but I have seen too many people that I know with NO mutual friends pop up on my "people you may know" feed for me to believe that they aren't tracking that and suggesting people who look at your feed. |
