Anyone ever been given a car for Christmas like in the commercials? Or a neighbor?

I think it looks so neat. It would be amazing to come home from the grocery store and hubby had a Porsche Macan or Benz GLE coupe backed into driveway with a huge bow on it. Lexus does these commercials every year it seems...

I asked my husband if he’d ever do this. He says, why would I pick out a car for you if you’d just complain about how I got the color or some other dumb feature wrong? I’d hear about it for years.

I don't know anyone who has done this for Christmas, but I do know parents who did it for their adult child for a college graduation gift. Big bow on top of the car in the driveway. It was actually a used car, but very nice and the kid was very grateful.

My dad did it for my mom last Christmas. it was awesome.

My father did this for mother, for her birthday. A Mercedes convertible with a big red bow on it. Great thought, though it mostly lives in the garage since she's not comfortable driving that kind of car on a daily basis.

My husband would say the same thing. I need a new car and waiting for the newest 2018 version to come out. He'd absolutely go buy it with a big bow but he knows if he didn't negotiate my way or get the features I wanted I'd be upset - although when he has got me a computer he gets me nicer than I'd pick out so except the negotiating part he probably knows what features I want.

I got a car with a bow on it for college graduation. I already had a car but I totaled it. My parents took pity on me and bought me another with the insurance money. I didn’t think they were going to do it so I was totally surprised.

My parents let me pick a car for Christmas, it was ready on Christmas Eve (I think it was shipped from another location) and they didn’t put a bow on it.... I was so mad at the dealership, lol!!!

No, and when we saw that commercial, my husband and I agreed we’d both be really mad if the other ever bought us a car (ie, spent that much money without consulting the spouse).
