Yes I do believe by ignoring his own government guidelines in regards to travel in n Korea , he forfeited his right to be alive . |
This |
My DH is an ER doc and said the same. Why should pp "watch" herself? |
| Who exactly was the Chinese travel company who arranged this particular trip to NK? |
OMG, this is terrible. I still think he is a stupid idiot, but he did not deserve this. Poor boy, poor parents. |
Do you also believe that a citizen who either ignores or willfully defies police commands also forfeits his right to be alive? |
Easy. It takes a special kind of crazy to "wonder" something like that. I wouldn't be surprised if that PP has some mental health challenges, either diagnosed or undiagnosed. |
can you explain exactly what "do everything they can to work for the release of Americans unjustly detained" mean? in terms of actions to be taken, especially with a country with which we have no diplomatic relations, we are not friendly with, under sanctions. do you know exactly what the Obama administration did in the past year? what steps they took? which channels they tried? people here saying that he did nothing, what do they know exactly? if Trump was so successful, how come NK released only a kid on the brink of death but kept the other three prisoners? |
I would view it as a highly possible outcome. Consequently, I would obey their commands. |
Are you the special kind of crazy poster? Get some help. |
When an upper middle class student attending UVA gets sentenced to hard labor in a brutal regime like N Korea, yes, I'd consider attempted suicide to be a very likely possibility. |
I would as well. I'm glad to see you are consistent in your beliefs. |
There are a lot of UMC and rich kids and their parents who think they can do no wrong. You just can't ignore government warnings and get away with it 100% of the time. It's very sad for the young and his parents, but unless you are a billionaire and can bail yourself out, you are in trouble. |
nope, I am a very rational person, that's why I ask rational questions. sorry if you can't answer (not surprised though) |
As opposed to a rich student? Or a poor student? "Hard Labor" = Horrific Torture |
