They don’t. 4 years ago the top 3 were FCV, McLean and BRYC. They aren’t now.

Producing? Nothing matters for recruiting until U16. Player development happens way before that. It’s not the same clubs at all if you’ve been around this for a while. It changes every few years. But the constant is always the number of players. If at U16 you randomly spread these top 20-30 players across the ECNL/GA teams it would still be those same players going D1

LOL - you need to step outside of your bubble and look bigger. The teams you think are so great at WAGS is only because ECNL has their own events and you only have the strong GA teams there. Those same GA teams at the top regularly lose to similar ECNL teams in their region. Also, all those mid-Atlantic north GA teams lose their kids to ECNL every single year. Look at the U15 or U16 from some of those "top" teams.

starting at 2012/13s GA is becoming the better option. Sorry folks MLSNext killed ECNL. Local Top GA teams are beating the top local ECNL teams in DMV.

At U13 (the best indicator of GA's future locally), the only GA team that is on the same level as the local ECNL teams is NVA. SYC used to be, but they've take a clear step backward. Maybe they lost players to ECNL. The rest of the U13 GA teams are not close to Union, Arlington, Bethesda, or VDA.

SYC beat union 2-0 recently.. so nope

Give it time and that team will fall apart, can only go so far with subpar coaching.

What part did the poster not state about the younger ages moving forward? No one is saying the GA is dominate U15 and above. Clearly every 2013 ECNL parent from Union and ARL feel they are top of the MA and have this super team, but looking at the local competition, those 2013 GA are levels above them.

The 2013 local ECNL teams are suffering due to the lack of ability to pull from other local clubs. They may actually have to hire some real coaches and develope players.

The second that coaching slate was announced people knew there would be major issues. Things like this happen when parents take over teams. And supposedly the parents now want a new coach. Good luck

Who are the best U16's?

BSC and VDA. Pretty cut and dry.

Right now these two are the best at U16 if you are able to get playing time there. If not would be better to find another ECNL/GA team where you can be a top player on the team. If you are U13-15 go where you will get the most playing time and development now and then try to switch to VDA or BSC at U16 (or whoever is top in a few years). Unless you are a complete baller you have a better shot joining these teams at U15/16 than at U13 where you can be replaced by new players every year.
