How do you think it will be submitted? Only the main tracks? Or the Anthology edition? I think Anthology has some really good songs, but the full album with the 31 tracks is bloated with a lot of misses. |
She has eschewed precision in favor of proliferation.
I think it’s the right call for her fans. They would rather have every sticky scrap, than a beautifully curated album. I just assumed the point of this album was the all too muchness of it. It grows on me with every listen, and good for her, that she can command that from me. Why do I care to hear her out, and other artists (possibly more deserving artists) never get that benefit of the doubt? I don’t have an answer. But she dreamed up 31 songs, and they aren’t all amazing. But still…. 31 songs, and a few are very very good. Baller move would be to not submit for Grammy consideration. It was for her, and now she’s done with it. |
What is she done with though? Won't she write more about the guys she dates? I find it sad and regressive. Her best work are her songs not about men. |
Narcs hate criticism |
But they love fame. Cry me a River |
She has first world problems. It would be nice to see her use her platform for social good instead of her self -adulatory works. Frankly, it isn’t very energy efficient that she produces so many exclusive CD and vinyls just to heighten first week sales . “It’s always the man’s fault” can’t work forever, can it? Oh wait, of course it can . |
You’re unaware of the work she does for social good? |
No it doesn’t. She sounds hyper defensive . When Internet comment critics know the comments bother a celebrity, they go even harder generally. She’s inviting a backlash if anything |
No, I didn’t hear anything about it in the album about how she is a tortured lousy because she loves blindly , hits bumps in the road of love , but hates the fans and critics that vocalize concern about the alcoholism and penchant for bad boys that SHE talks about. |
Tortured poet* |
Did it ever occur to you that it's intentional? |
Well, that’s my point. She wants to be the tortured poet and invite conversation/backlash . Taylor needs to grow up and get over herself and be glad you have fans that worry about you . Being so self involved makes sense if she were in high school but it is unbecoming of someone hitting on 40 soon. |
Ugh auto correct .
Be glad that she has fans that worry about her * |
Agree. I'm not a Swifty. I've never downloaded an album, and my main exposure to her is through radio play. However, I love this album. It's so much better than anything she's put out in the past (again, I say this based off of radio played songs). |
Are love songs regressive? Huh. |
