Yea, agree with pp… and?? That’s life and completely irrelevant. If you aren’t good enough that’s the way it goes. In every aspect of life. This isnt rec.

A kid transferred in and somehow that’s shady? But what about all of the other kids that have transferred in/out of other schools.
Sounds like someone has an axe to grind. |

Unless you have had the conversations and had a child being recruited there you’re clueless don’t let them fool you gc moves $ around to pull players in |
Kids transfer all the time because they are just unhappy at their schools and it often has nothing to do with lacrosse. Consider yourself lucky if your kid loves her school. Believe me when they are truly unhappy you’ll do anything to get them out. |

This is a dumb line of thinking. All the 27s could apply and get into any independent HS they wished. It is not transferring, it was applying to high school.
Just like the 28s are doing this year. |
| Any word on Visi score against Sacred Heart? |
No when it happens during the school year it is considered a transfer there are rules that govern this and call it as such. |
Visi won 11-9 |
There is ZERO money being given out at GC for girls lax. Boys Basketball and football and Girls basketball yes. Other sports no, and especially for girls sports. The current AD shortchanges girls sports at every opportunity |
| No money at visi either |
Correct. And this transfer was from public to WCAC, not within the WCAC so therefore the intra-conference rules do not apply. But you already know that since you know there are rules that govern this. You’re just being a troll and trying to stir the pot. |
This whole argument is stupid. If you have the money and can get in, anyone can attend any private school (start at the start of the year, transfer in mid-year, whatever) This thread is turning into the 28 thread. Bunch of ninnies over there. |

Thought I’d post this recent comment from a boys lax thread discussion about transfers. It’s the sad truth for many kids: “Teams and schools and coaches (and other parents and alumni boosters) have been taking advantage of athletes forever. Saw it firsthand as a player and now as a parent. Kids promised the moon and pressured to stay in situations that aren’t in their short or long term best interests and then once no longer useful tossed aside. Anyone who has played high level or even mid level sports has anecdotes about teammates who were exploited and then chucked aside and absent a strong advocate or safety net ended up in a bad way.” |
This is all happening at super expensive private schools........ These kids going to be alright. Its a game and we are all playing it including the coaches, some kids it gets them into a highschool they probably wouldn't have gone to. Other kids it gets them into a college they probably wouldn't gotten into. Other kids just fall out of love with it or when the competition goes up a level they just aren't at that level. Its on you to have honest conversations with your kid. I don't expect to keep paying crap employees, because they have a contract with me. I made a promise to them sure, but if they are not at the level I expect, they getting replaced. It's life |
