Agreed. And I think bullis did not shoot the ball particularly well, but Landon’s offense is not nearly that good.
|
If you think Landon;s offense is not that good (and I kinda agree), then Bullis' offense is even worst. Landon was up 8-3 heading into the 4th. Bullis scores 4 goals in the 4th quarter (all of them from extra man opportunities) from some rather questionable calls. After watching tonights game, GP should sweep through the IAC this spring. Landon, Bullis, EHS and STA are all pretty even based on what I have seen this spring. Saint Stephens is the weakest link in the IAC this year. |
| WCAC seems to be much stronger then the IAC this year |
I don’t know if I agree with that statement. What is the head to head record of WCAC vs IAC teams this spring? Prep is by far the best team in the IAC this spring based on year to date season results. SJC is clearly the top in the WCAC. |
Pretty even first half until Landon went on a late run in the final minutes of the 2nd quarter to make it 5-2 Bears at the break. Bears dominated the 3rd q and that was difference in this game. Bullis scored 3 goals in the 4th all of them were EMO opportunities after some really suspect calls. Don’t see either of these teams being able to run with the Lil Hoyas. |
It feels like deja vu. We go through this every year, STA just can't run with the big boys. Each year they get hyped up and every year they get let down. How many times have we heard, this year will be their chance with their best team in decades. It's all relative. This may be their best team in decades, but that doesn't mean they can compete with top teams or even......Episcopal. |
| Episcopal was underrated this year. They brought in a ringer goalie - perhaps best goalie in the area - who is doing a post grad year. Will be interested to see how the other teams in the IAC do against Episcopal. |
| STA has some key players injured, and they don't have the depth for that to not matter. |
Again, deja vu. |
The season is approaching the halfway mark, what program doesn't have a few kids who are banged up or hurt? Did the LSM going to UPenn play yesterday? |
Episcopal is taking PGs now? is this new? |
|
The EHS goalie, while a senior, is actually 17.
The fact checking on this forum is very suspect. There are a few other new kids on team that are good but unknown to the area. Don't worry, they are all under 18. Conklin does a great job with smallest school (number of boys) and stays competitive. Yes, LSM (#77) played in the game and had a pretty good game. |
Definitely an advantage when the head coach is also the admissions director. |
STA’s former admissions director was also the lacrosse coach, unfortunately it didn’t seem to help them. |
True. But was never the head coach. |
