Has anyone used this? Any reviews? Ideas on safety?
I don't think it will work with both DH and me in the bed, I just would be too nervous, but I thought while DH is gone at work it may be good to try to have the baby sleep in it next to me sleeping in the bed. Any thoughts? |

We have it, only used it a few times because our son had to be in direct contact with me in order to sleep. We actually bought it because my husband was nervous about having the baby sleep in bed with us. Five months later, it's finally getting used at daycare, since our son wasn't napping well (and still isn't, to be honest).
It's pricey for what it is - if you want to nap with the baby, why not just have him/her in bed with you, following all the safe co-sleeping measures? No loose sheets, firm mattress, etc. Or get the Arms Reach co-sleeper that attaches to the side of the bed, so baby is in his own little space. You could use that at night as well, if you wanted, without worrying about having your husband in the bed, too. |
| We wanted our daughter with us in the room for the first 3 months and I found it so difficult to lift her from the pack n play bassinette for the first week, that we got the snuggle nest to put between us because we were both afraid of "regular" co-sleeping. We really liked the snuggle nest--we loved having her next to us, without worrying about rolling over her while asleep. We have a queen bed and that's probably the smallest you could handle--neither my husband are big people, but if we were, it probably wouldn't have worked because it did feel crowded. A king would be plenty of room, of course. |
| It works well as long as you have a small or average size baby. We used it for baby #1 (a 7 pounder) --- not at night (baby slept in a pack in play next to my side of the bed) --- but during the day in bed with me while I tried to nap with him. Baby #2 was a ginormous 9 pounder who moved around a lot so the snuggle nest didn't work for him. |
| We used it for 3 months it was great. It was also nice because it helped with the crib transion I would have him fall asleep with us and then move him snuggle nest and all to the crib. |
