IPL at a spa?

Someone mentioned that they got IPL at a spa but didn't say which one. What was the name of the spa?

Please don't get IPL at a spa. Those people are licensed, but in this area, there are board certified dermatologists who can do it. If someone is lasering my face I would like to know they have had some training beyond a night class.

I got mine done with Dr. Adrian (first name Robert I think) over in the Foxhall area near AU. For $150 he got rid of 5 age spots on my face and did a beautiful job - it healed really nicely. You may be able to find a reputable spa, but Dr. Adrian and other reputable dermatologists have huge practices and they are more likely to not trick you into unnecessary procedures because they have a reputation to uphold and they are doctors. I had looked into different treatments at spas and was told my procedure would take more than one visit and the price was a hell of a lot more. Dr. Adrian took one look at the two spots I went in for, told me it would take two minutes and he found 3 more tiny spots to work on, and told me one treatment was all I would need.

He didn't even try to sell me a bunch of useless crap - he told me I didn't need anything and I would be fine just staying out of the sun.

Obviously do what you want - just my two cents. If it is your face you are having done, you want someone with a good reputation and experience.
