| Has anyone seen this, and what did you think? I watched it last night on Netflix and thought it was horrible. It could have been so much better. Emma Watson is a good actress, but all she did, throughout the entire movie, was frown and look concerned/perplexed. The story was so disjointed and bizarre - a lowly new employee suddenly becomes the star of the company? Uh, no. Very disappointed. |
| Turned it off. Too distracted by the Tom Hanks hairpiece to focus on the movie. |
|
Movie sucked.
Book was good. |
|
Both the book and movie are not that great.
|
| Concept was interesting..movie was terrible. |
| Book was horrible. Horribly written and so over the top with the plot jumps. I just couldn't suspend belief like that and I sm sn avid sci-fi reader. No interest in the movie. |
| I just watched and also thought it was terrible. It made no sense, no real conclusion. |
| I liked the book, and the movie left a lot out that would have made it better. |
| The book was 75% enjoyable and 75% pure slapdash bullshit. |
|
Book is amazing.
Movie was OK. I like Tom Hanks as a bad guy/complex guy. |
| I liked the book. But the movie was awful-- and totally different ending. |
OP here. I agree about Tom Hanks. He was definitely the best part of the movie. Loved seeing him in the "bad guy" role, though he played it very subtly. Also agree with the PP about it ending so abruptly. So, are we to assume all the Circle employees turned this full transparency nonsense into something to help the greater good? Ugh. Could have been so much better. |
