I hate September

Anonymous
It's 9pm and I just finished filling out a dozen stupid forms asking for the same information, putting cash/checks for amounts under $10 in 5 separate envelopes labeled for 5 separate purposes (and I'm sure there will be more in the coming days), and sorting through the mountain of papers that came home on the first day and figuring out which calendar reminders, schedules, lunch menus, etc. to save and where to put them so we can see them on a daily basis.

I already miss summer.

Can't wait to see all the crap they bring home tomorrow . . . .

The forms kill me. I have designated my husband to fill them out or they would return to school with notes similar to the following:

"The cover letter says to [bold, underline, and italized] review information on the attached sheet. It is blank."

"you have asked me to add a signature. It is signed. But not original because it's carbon paper.l If a duplicate signature is not acceptable, you should not be using carbon paper."

It smacks of gross inefficiency to require parents to fill out the same information over, and over, and over in order sit in various PAPER files, or who knows, perhaps even the circular file since it's duplicate information. And we're only in K.

LOL!

I wondered where all my support was three weeks agio when I started the "Back to School Stress" thread and then almost no one answered. I felt like a freak!

SOme one should institute a "Universal Emergency Contact" Form.

I have 3 kids, and - surprise - they all have the same parents, phone number, address, pediatrician, insurance, and emergency contacts.

But it's more fun to fill that form out THREE times instead of just putting all 3 kids' names on one form!!

OP, it seems like you were in my kitchen these past few nights. Although you forgot to mention the TWO $90 IT-84+ calculators that we had to buy.
