Easiest out island in the Bahamas to fly to from DC?

Anonymous
Have loved Eleuthera and flown from BWI via Miami into North Eleuthera airport. Have also taken a direct flight into Nassau and then flown local into North Eleuthera. Both of those routes are now crazy expensive.
I would be totally willing to try Abaco or any of the other out islands that have the same laid back vibe. Any suggestions where we could fly for around $600?

Why not fly to Nassau and stay in Paradise Island?

Not the OP, but the out islands are beautiful and quieter. That's why I imagine..and I love Paradise, but still..

Last I tried we could not get to Abaco without the same flight path you just listed.

This would be a very good use of BA Avios for the Miami to Abacos sector. You often can find cheap flights to MIA or FLL to connect.

OP here. Paradise Island was fine, but the real paradise is the out islands. There's just no comparison!
Nassau flights are crazy expensive compared to last year, too.

Try Club Med San Salvador.

When are you going?

Has a lot of ideas.
I would like to go to Exuma beaches or Bimini beaches. But I think it would depend $$ wise on a timeline...

PP here

For example leaving 12/31 - 1/4 , you can get RT to Bimini for $500 w/1 stop.

Or just go to Great Wolf Lodge, which is about the same experience

The Exumas are one of the most beautiful and relaxing places I have ever been. After going there, you couldn't pay me to go to Nassau.
