Hi!
I’m a Disney World planning newbie. I think I’ve figured most things out but I haven’t figured out when the park hours and schedules will be released. I’m currently seeing info thru June 9th. We are going late June and our 180 day mark is next week. Will the hours and schedules be posted before I book? Hoping to know which park had the extra morning magic hours, evening hours, fireworks etc. to finialze my plans. Can anyone explain the system to me? |
| OP, I should add we are staying on a Disney property and I’m looking for this info before I book dining. |

They will release the hours a few days at a time, likely just before your 180. You won't have a lot of time, so just keep checking and have a rough idea what you want to do.
Are you trying to figure out Extra Magic Hours? Late nights? They tend to follow a pattern, so you can get a rough idea from the month before. |
| Make sure you're on MyDisneyExperience. That's where the hours are listed. It looks like they have posted through June 8 right now. You can also make some guesses based on when the various parades and fireworks are scheduled beyond that. |
| Don't worry about park hours when booking dining. They let you in early for breakfast reservations if need be, and lunch and dinner are all during open hours. |
I'm guessing she either wants to attend parks with extra magic hours, or avoid them. Either way, she needs to know when the extra magic hours are. |
| PP, exactly! I don’t want to waste an early dining breakfast reservation for a day that they are open early anyways. I’d like to avoid parks with evening extra hours due to crowds. |
| Well even if they post hours it's still no guarantee. I booked dining three months out and with one month left hours changed and my pre park opening was no longer. |
| Hours are posted about 190 days before, I think. I know they are always there when I'm looking to book meals. Yes the OP wants the info because one park everyday has EMH (extra magic hours) and that does impact your planning. OP focus more on what restaurants you want to hit at each park, then once you see the schedule you can layout your days. If you're looking to do Jedi Training EMH or an 8am reservation for Hollywood & Vine are musts! |
Not necessarily. We arrived at the park 45 minutes before opening and had no issue getting Jedi Training. And we didn't have to spend $140 on a Disney Jr. character breakfast we didn't want. |
| Sorry to burst a bubble but Disney has been known to randomly change park opening hours. It goes from 9am opening to 8am opening within weeks of the day. Keep an eye on the times. |
