Home Daycare Opening January, 2018 in Groveton (south of Old Town, Alexandria)

I am writing to let folks know that our wonderful home daycare in the Stoneybrooke/Groveton will have an opening in January for a full/part time child due to my son graduating to school!

We have been with Soumya for almost two years, and have been very happy with her care. My son loves it there, basically jumps out of the car to get there every morning. He loves playing with his friends and the activities they do. The children spend lots of time outside, and Soumya is great about taking them to the park or setting up fun outdoor activities if the weather is particularly nice. She gives each child love and affection, and my son has become a bright, sunny, loving little guy under her care.

Soumya has a state license and a CDA(Child Development Associate). She has training in Early Childhood Education and Business Management.

From a parent standpoint, Soumya is very flexible in terms of hours. She also gives the kids snacks and a hot lunch daily, and sends daily e-mails letting us know how the children liked the food. She is very good about communication, and very reliable (I cannot think of one time she has taken an unexpected sick day in the whole time we have been there).

The parents freely e-mail each other pictures and send invites to birthdays and other fun events. It really feels like a lovely little community.
