So after a series of phone interviews, I was invited to an all day in- person interview early last week. The day was full -interviews with 6 people, lunch, your, etc. it required me to take a vacation/pro day off from my current job. I had what I thought were great interviews and I must admit, I assumed I would get an offer. Instead...nothing. Not even a courtesy call saying they'd picked someone else. Just silence.
Is this normal? Thoughts? |
| How long has it been? I've been there, great interviews, strong outreach from allies and nothing but silence. |
Interviews were early last week, so 1.5 weeks now with no feedback/call/etc. |

I work in a law firm with one of the partners who does a lot of recruiting. It takes a while to get the feedback from ALL the people who interviewed you. Maybe one is in trial and one went on vacation and one forgot.
Give it a while. |
| Hiring manager here. 1.5 weeks isn’t really that long at all. My HR, for example, makes me interview all qualified candidates before extending an offer, which can take much longer than 1-2 weeks (for me it’s usually at least a month). I do tell people that during the interview though. |

I just went on a first interview, and they scheduled a second phone interview with someone who works off site. I mailed a thank you letter the next day. I am just waiting for the scheduling of the 2nd phone interview. I was told that I was the first person interviewed, and they have two more. They want someone in the position in February.
Did you ask for a time line? |
| They won't give you feedback for legal reasons. |
