Expectant and Postpartum Moms
| I'm only 32 weeks, but the baby seems to have dropped so everyone is telling me and my pelvis is killing me. Did anyone else have this happen this early? I have a doc appointment this week. |
| At my 36-week appt. the midwife said the baby had dropped (I don't know how much earlier), although I haven't really felt the pelvis pressure until this week. But at my Bradley class there was another woman whose baby had dropped weeks ago! So I think it can be normal, esp. for a first baby (my sis-in-law told me). Also if you can eat more and have less trouble breathing, that's a sign that the baby has dropped. |
| The pain in my pelvis is getting excruciating. i can barely walk...did anyone experience this and then it got better? i can't imagine walking around like this for another 8 weeks. even lifting my leg is just so painful. |

Pelvic pain can also be caused by the pelvic muscles relaxing (common for non-first time moms). I've had it for a couple months now myself.
Also, I asked my doc about baby dropping, and he said it's a bit of a misnomer - that it isn't a sudden thing, but happens gradually.....and usually not until you are at least a few weeks from your delivery date. |
