My 15 year old has been shaving (a bit) for a few months. Do folks find blade or electric better? My son looks best if he shaves about once a week. By then, though, the facial hair seems too much for the electric we have, but blades seem to aggravate any acne.
Also, any brand suggestions would be useful, for both blade and electric. |
| Blades -- always blades. Either one is going to aggravate acne. I use a Mach III. He should switch the blades ever 4-5 shaves. Also, he should shave after a hot shower. |
| Take him to a dermatologist for the acne. There is so much that can be done to treat acne these days - nobody should have to suffer through it during what is already the most awkward time of their life. |

Not necessarily the advice you were looking for, but it is from Gillette:

| OK - this youtube is not what I (OP) expected. Why on earth would boys do this - shave their public area? That's not a value judgment, but a real question. |

OMG! you have to watch that youtube link from 22:58!
It is hilarious and the comments had me in tears I was laughing so hard. |
| I am OP, and frankly I thought it was inappropriate, and not responding to the question -- to now had been happy the thread had been so long dormant. |
