Getting married and good friend disappears

Anonymous
I don't understand... she's married, has two kids. We've always had a great relationship. I called her when I got engaged - heard nothing back. No text, no like on Facebook, no call back. I sent the wedding invites, no response.

I have a kid, so I get that she's busy, but I'm honestly wondering if she's ignoring me. But I can't come up with any reason why. She recently attended a mutual friends wedding so I at least know she's alive...

Maybe she thinks your significant other is terrible for you?

Was your courtship short? Maybe she thinks it’s too soon for you to get married or bring a man into your child’s life in this manner? Just grasping at straws here...

Also - have you asked her outright (via text or email)?

Been divorced for quite a while and most of my friends that were that judgemental left years ago, thankfully

Haven't because I haven't heard back at all

Yeah will do. More than anything it worries me I haven't heard anything.

She is a good friend and you are stressing over her non response, yet she hasn't met your fiancé?

Something doesn't add up.

She might be caring for a sick relative or she might be ill herself. Try calling her again and maybe contact a friend or relation that knows her?
Are you sure she didn’t move?

Best friend from college, we now live in different cities but have always made a point to see each other about once a year or at big events. She hasn't attended any big events this year (missed our college reunion) and I haven't heard from her since her birthday 9 months ago. However, again, I thought she was busy with the kids (one is 6 months) but it seems odd that even with me actively reaching out I can't get a hold of her.

I know she attended another college friend's wedding a few months ago, so I know she's at least ok. Her Dad posts on Facebook almost daily about her family. I don't know, I will ask next time I talk to someone in that circle.
